A71 grass cutting and litter picking

The Ayrshire Roads Alliance will carrying out routine maintenance works, including grass cutting and litter picking, to a section of the A71 from Bellfield Interchange to Moorfield roundabout and to Corsehill roundabout at the North Ayrshire Council boundary.

The works will be carried out on Saturday 2 June and Saturday 9 June between 06:00 and approximately 20:00.

On Saturday 2 June, carriageway lane closures will be in place in both directions between the Moorfield Roundabout and the Corsehill roundabout at the North Ayrshire Council boundary.

On Saturday 9 June, carriageway lane closures will be in place in both directions between the Bellfield Interchange and Moorfield Roundabout. Carriageway lane closures will be in place to the off /on ramps to B7038 Campbell Street, Kilmarnock.

The lane closures and works will be signed throughout and all traffic will continue as usual along the A71 in both directions, but will be subject to a slight delay whilst passing through the works.

The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, apologise in advance for the inconvenience these works will inevitably cause to the travelling public. However, these essential maintenance works are required to improve and enhance the A71 road corridor.
