Burns Supper fun in Kilmarnock
Provost Jim Todd enjoyed a Burns supper in Kilmarnock recently which was organised by East Ayrshire Council’s Local Area Co-ordinators in partnership with The Howff Burns Club, Kilmarnock and The Howard Centre.
Local Area Co-ordinators support adults with a learning disability to live a full and active life within their community. As well as providing one-to-one support, they have a number of social groups that run on a weekly basis which provide a safe and supportive environment for people with a learning disability to have fun, develop positive relationships and improve their life skills.
The Burns Supper was an opportunity for individuals, families and carers to come together for an afternoon of food, friendship and entertainment.
