Burns Supper fun in Kilmarnock
Provost Claire Leitch enjoyed a Burns supper in Kilmarnock recently which was organised by East Ayrshire Council’s Local Area Co-ordinators in partnership with The Howff Burns Club, Kilmarnock and The Howard Centre.
Local Area Co-ordinators support adults with a learning disability to live a full and active life within their community. As well as providing one-to-one support, they have a number of social groups that run on a weekly basis which provide a safe and supportive environment for people with a learning disability to have fun, develop positive relationships and improve their life skills.
The Burns Supper was a chance for individuals, families and carers to come together for an afternoon of food, friendship and entertainment.
