Council launches renewed Customer Charter
East Ayrshire Council has renewed its commitment to offering residents a high-quality service through its Customer Charter, formerly known as the Customer First Commitment.
The Charter sets out what the Council asks of everyone – both staff and anyone who uses its services – so that a positive experience can be created for everyone who works in the Council or interacts with it. The Charter will be displayed in customer facing locations, or you can view it on the Council’s website: https://www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/CouncilAndGovernment/Contact-us/customer-charter.aspx
Councillor Douglas Reid, Leader of the Council, said: “We are pleased to renew our Customer Charter and to reaffirm our commitment to putting residents at the heart of everything we do. This updated Charter reflects the high standards of service that our communities expect – clear communication, responsive services, and a real focus on listening and improving.
“It also sets out the role we all play in creating positive and respectful interactions. While we are committed to delivering a high-quality service, we also ask that our employees are treated with courtesy and respect, whether that’s in person or online. By setting out what people can expect from us, and what we expect in return, we can continue to deliver the best possible service for everyone in our communities.”
