East Ayrshire Council by-elections results
Jayne Sangster (Scottish Labour Party) has been elected to serve as Councillor for Ward 3 (Kilmarnock West and Crosshouse), and Jim Kyle (Scottish Labour Party) has been elected for Ward 9 (Doon Valley) following the local government by-election on Thursday 14 November 2024.
The by-elections were held following the resignation of Councillors Lillian Jones and Elaine Stewart who are now serving as MPs for Kilmarnock & Loudoun and Ayr, Carrick & Cumnock respectively.
The results were as follows:

- Allan MacDonald, Scottish Conservative and Unionist: 623
- Lee Manley, Scottish Liberal Democrats: 145
- Stephen McNamara: 75
- Marie Robertson, Scottish National Party (SNP): 1,025
- Jayne Sangster, Scottish Labour Party: 1,213
The current electorate for Ward 3 is 13,260.
Number of ballot papers received: 3,109
The turnout figure for the Ward 3 by-election was 23.4%.
