Ending Loneliness Together
Communities in East Ayrshire are coming together in a bid to end loneliness and social isolation.
A series of free events are being held by Locality Planning Groups which local people are invited along to so that they can make new connections, rebuild some old ones, take part in some fun activities and find out more about what’s on near them.
Although feeling lonely sometimes can be completely normal, evidence shows that it can be as harmful as smoking 15 cigarettes a day if it is prolonged or severe.
Kindness and connectedness, with other people and our communities, is part of the answer to tackling these issues.
Events will be held on:
Wed 29 May, Grand Hall, Kilmarnock, 1pm-4pm
Thu 30 May, Netherthird Community Centre, 1pm-7pm
Mon 3 June, Morton Hall, Newmilns, 2pm-6pm
Thu 6 June, Area Centre, Stewarton, 2pm-6pm
