Essential road resurfacing works B743
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, on behalf of East Ayrshire Council, will be carrying out essential resurfacing works on six sections of the B743 between Sorn and the South Lanarkshire boundary.
Starting on Monday 30 July and lasting for up to six weeks, resurfacing will take place on:
- B743 Muirkirk to South Lanarkshire boundary, towards Strathaven, starting on Monday 30 July for up to two weeks
- B743 Sorn to A70 Muirkirk starting on Monday 13 August for up to four weeks
Road closures will be in place each day between 08:00 and 18:00 to protect the roads operatives and the travelling public.
Signed diversion routes will be in place throughout the works.
The works are weather dependent and may be delayed or postponed at times due to adverse weather, the works will continue the next available day.
