Family pandemic support payment
A family pandemic support payment of £100 will be paid to low income families and those on qualifying benefits this summer and winter.
The two payments, which were announced in March by the Scottish Government, are available to all children and young people (P1 to S6) eligible for a free meal, due to low income or qualifying benefits, within a school setting.
If your child or young person received a Spring Hardship Payment there is no need to reapply. The payment will be made automatically by bank transfer. Parents of all eligible children and young people who receive a free school meal as of Monday 31 May will receive their payment by Friday 25 June. Parents of children and young people who become eligible after Monday 31 May and who apply before the deadline of Friday 25 June, will receive their payment by the end of July. The Scottish Child Payment Scottish Child Payment - Mygov is now available for younger children, who receive a free lunch in an early learning and childcare setting; therefore, they are not eligible for the family pandemic support payment.
