Footway improvements planned for Titchfield Street, Kilmarnock

The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, on behalf of the Council, will be carrying out essential footway resurfacing works on Titchfield Street, Kilmarnock.

The works will start on Monday 13 August and will last for approximately 60 days.

The footway, on the Galleon side, will be closed in sections during the works.

Due to the width of the carriageway, it will also be necessary to close the carriageway one-way for the duration of the works to protect both the workforce and the public.

The carriageway will be closed eastbound heading into Kilmarnock (on the Galleon side) and a one way order will be in place allowing traffic to travel westbound out of Kilmarnock.

Advanced signage is now in place and all businesses and residents, in the vicinity, will receive a letter advising of the works.

Diversion will be in place and signed accordingly. Advanced signage is now in place and all businesses and residents will be contacted by letter with advance notice.

A temporary bus stop will be in place on Armour Street for the duration of the works.

The Alliance thanks you for your consideration and patience while these essential works are undertaken.
