Improvement works A735 Kilmaurs Road, Kilmarnock
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, as part of it ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on the A735 Kilmaurs Road, Kilmarnock, starting on Monday 20 July.
It is anticipated that the works will be undertaken in four phases and every effort will be made to keep within the durations proposed, however dates may need to change as works progress.
To carry out this work safely and efficiently the road will require to be closed for the duration of each phase of the works.
Motorists are advised to watch out for the Advance Notification Signage, which will be erected on site with the dates of each phased closure.
PHASE 1 – from Monday 20 July starting at Western Road roundabout work will take place over two days.
PHASE 2 – from Wednesday 22 July starting at the roundabout to the north of Woodhill Road/Ardgour Road junction, work will take place over five days.
PHASE 3 – from Wednesday 29 July starting at Woodhill Road/Ardgour Road junction to just south of John Walker Drive roundabout, work will take place over five days
PHASE 4 – from Wednesday 5 August a section from north of John Walker Drive roundabout to beyond the C117 junction will be completed within two working days.
Residents of Altonhill will have access at all times through either Woodhill Road or Ashdale Road.
Emergency access will be maintained during the road closures and through the works site. Diversions will be signed and in place for the duration of the works.
It is hoped that the resurfacing work will be completed within the timescales stipulated, however the work is weather dependent and any unforeseen difficulties could result in a delay.
