Bins and containers

Latest update on waste collections

We are currently carrying out a catch-up of residual waste collections for those communities affected by the industrial action.

Collections of general waste will take place during evenings and the coming weekend after the normal collection schedule has been completed during the day.

The areas below are a guide only – we will aim to collect all general waste bins in streets that were not collected during the period of industrial action.

First programme of collections:

  • Shortlees
  • Southcraigs
  • Patna
  • Drongan
  • Rankinston
  • Hollybush
  • Bellfield

Any households in these areas that did not receive a general waste collection between 24 - 26 August should place their general waste bin (and any accompanying excess bags) out for collection from:

Tuesday 6 September until Sunday 11 September

Remember that collections will continue into the evening and note that we may return to the same community in more than one day, so please leave your bins out until collected.

 Second programme of collections:

  • Stewarton
  • Dunlop
  • Fenwick Rural
  • Barshare
  • Logan
  • Altonhill
  • Beansburn
  • Longpark
  • Holmhead
  • Other Cumnock streets that still need collections
  • Auchinleck

Any households in these areas that did not receive a general waste collection between 29 - 31 August should place their general waste bin (and any accompanying excess bags) out for collection from:

Monday 12 September until Friday 16 September

Remember that collections will continue into the evening and note that we may return to the same community in more than one day, so please leave your bins out until collected.
