P1 registration is now open
Under the Education (Scotland) Act 1980, children who turn 5 years between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024, and whose parents/carers wish them to attend school, should be registered for education this week.
Registration opens today, Monday 9 January and closes on Friday 13 January 2023.
How to register your child
Please complete the online application and submit no later than Friday 13 January 2023.
If you are unable to register online, please phone your local school for help and advice.
To register your child, you will require to upload a copy of your child’s birth certificate and two proofs of your residence in the catchment area in the form of a Council Tax Notice or Utility Bill.

Placing requests
Parents and carers can make a Placing Request to place their child in any other school, under the management of the education authority, having first enrolled at their local school.
Placing requests for the session beginning August 2023, for both primary and secondary schools should be received by 31 January 2023. Requests must be completed and submitted online
