Provost’s festive message
This is my first festive season as Provost of East Ayrshire and it’s been a wonderfully busy time attending Christmas concerts, school nativities and other festive events across our many communities.
What strikes me most when I’m out and about meeting our children and young people, adults and older adults is that there’s a real sense of everyone supporting one another and championing each other, whether that’s through our volunteers who help out in our communities, the audiences who support our fantastic young festive performers, or people who just want to help their community be the best it can be.
It's particularly important that we continue to support one another at this time of year, a period that can be challenging and difficult for many. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what your circumstances are; you always need people supporting you.
So let’s keep looking out for one another this festive season, and I wish you all a happy, peaceful and restful time along with the hope that 2025 brings you everything you wish for.
