Senior management changes
East Ayrshire Council can confirm that due to unforeseen and entirely unrelated circumstances, and for the foreseeable future, Chief Executive Eddie Fraser and Depute Chief Executive Richard Grieveson are unfortunately not currently available to undertake their duties. Interim arrangements have been put in place with immediate effect.
These are as follows:
Joe McLachlan, Director of Finance and Digital, will take up the post of acting Chief Executive; and
David Mitchell, Chief Governance Officer, will take up the post of acting Depute Chief Executive (Communities and Economy).
These arrangements will remain in place until the Full Council meeting of Thursday 25 June when it will be for Council to agree ongoing arrangements thereafter.
