These boots are made for walking... with the Coalfields Community Landscape Partnership
East Ayrshire Community Coalfields Landscape Partnership is celebrating their launch with two events and a series of walks designed to bring the communities together to share memories, ideas and enjoy their surrounding environment.
They are inviting everyone to join them at their events, saying :”Beat the winter blues and join us on our walks. It may be cold but the welcome will be warm! Tell us about what’s special about where you live, about the past and your local
traditions.
“Join in our conversations about how we got here and where we’re going.”
The Coalfields Communities Landscape Partnership, currently in its development
phase, is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund along with East Ayrshire Council and five
other partners: the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere, the Central Scotland
Green Network Trust (CSGN), Forestry Enterprise Scotland (FES), Scottish Natural
Heritage (SNH) and the East Ayrshire Leisure Trust (EALT). The vision of the CCLP is that Coalfield Communites share the benefits of renewed landscape, welcoming visitors from afar to celebrate their unique heritage and promote stewardship of the land, shaped by understanding go the past and needs of the future.
