MJD donates life-saving community defibrillator
Stewarton Woodlands Action Trust recently received life-saving equipment donated by MJD Scaffolding Ltd. Martin Boyle, a member of the community has kindly agreed to host the defibrillator and provide the electricity from his own home.

Electric vehicle charging tariffs to be introduced in East Ayrshire from 1 April
In response to recent increases in energy costs and the need to expand the charging network, East Ayrshire Council will be introducing tariffs and overstay charges for the use of public electric vehicle (EV) charging points in East Ayrshire from 1 April.

Fowlds Street car park update
With the great news that The Designer Rooms is moving to Fowlds Street in Kilmarnock, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance wants to let local people and visitors to Kilmarnock know that the car park outside the existing Poundstretchers store will still be open for public use until 1 March.

East Ayrshire Cabinet confirmed support for the creation of a new Galloway National Park this week, as they agreed to reaffirm their backing for the Galloway National Park Association (GNPA) submission to the Scottish Government as it considers bids for the designation of new National Parks in Scotland

Fly tippers caught and prosecuted thanks to public vigilance
Corporate Enforcement Officers from East Ayrshire Council are encouraging the public to keep reporting fly tipping, after recent success in bringing a prosecution to Court. And they’re warning anyone fly tipping or using non-registered waste carriers to remove waste that they can be at risk of a fixed penalty of £500 if it’s found fly-tipped.
