Planned roadworks at Ayrshire Innovation Park, Crosshouse

As construction continues apace at the site of the new Ayrshire Innovation Park, Moorfield Kilmarnock, some essential roadworks will be commencing on Monday 5 January 2026 for approximately ten weeks.

These works will be taking place near the entrance of Crosshouse Hospital and will include a single lane closure on the B7081 in an east bound direction towards Kilmarnock.

Between 5-19 January, these works will be restricted to the small farm access road opposite the hospital but will then move onto the main B7081.

Temporary traffic lights will be installed at the roundabout to the main entrance of the hospital, and these will be manned between the hours of 7am and 8:15pm to monitor traffic flow and prevent delays, to ensure access for emergency vehicles in and out of the hospital site.

The traffic lights will move along the B7081 towards Kilmarnock as the works progress, to prevent any build-up of traffic.

These works will inevitably cause some disruption, particularly during peak times, so please allow extra time for your journey wherever possible. The schedule of works is weather dependent and may be subject to change at short notice.

The works are being undertaken by Total Pipeline Technology.
