Minister for Housing, Paul McLennan MSP, has performed the official ground-breaking at the site of a new council housing development on Kennedy Drive in Kilmarnock.  

At the recent meeting of Cabinet, it was agreed that a Tenants Support Fund of £500,000 would be established to help East Ayrshire Council’s tenants facing the financial burden of the cost of living crisis.

East Ayrshire Council’s first net zero housing development at Bellevue Gardens in Bonnyton, Kilmarnock has been completed and visitors from the Council were welcomed by Ms Frances McCluskey to view her beautiful new home.

At the recent meeting of East Ayrshire Council’s Cabinet, councillors approved place-based investment funding for 23 local projects, totalling £768,664 in support of community-led regeneration across East Ayrshire.

Councillor Jim McMahon has performed the official opening of East Ayrshire Council’s new assisted living housing development – Quarry Knowe Court in Auchinleck, unveiling a plaque to mark the special occasion.

Teams from Greener Communities will be working across East Ayrshire in the coming weeks sowing wildflowers to improve biodiversity and help tackle the climate emergency.

20 young people from The Robert Burns, Kilmarnock, Grange and Loudoun Academies joined the team from Vibrant Communities for a residential stay at Barcaple Outdoor Centre in Castle Douglas over the Easter break.
