The Ayrshire Roads Alliance will be carrying out routine maintenance works, including grass cutting and litter picking, to sections of the A71 from Bellfield Interchange to Moorfield roundabout and from Moorfield to Corsehill roundabout.

From the very beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, it was clear that the delivery of Council services to would be significantly affected and that priorities would have to be established to protect the most vulnerable people in East Ayrshire communities.

East Ayrshire Registrars are with our communities through every major life event, registering births, deaths and marriages, conducting marriages, civil partnerships and funerals, providing a professional, compassionate and caring service to people at the happiest of times and the most difficult of times.

Intrepid teams of joiners, plumbers, electricians and other skilled trades men and women from East Ayrshire Council have just notched up their 5000^th  “lockdown job”  - providing emergency repairs for council tenants, many of whom are shielding or self-isolating due to the current covid-19 crisis.

East Ayrshire Council continues to adapt and introduce new ways of working to ensure vital services are continuing to be delivered to East Ayrshire communities throughout lockdown.

Living in rural East Ayrshire means many of us live in or very near to scenic areas with beautiful walks along river banks, reservoirs and lochs. The prolonged warm weather has made daily exercise an absolute pleasure and it may seem tempting to take a paddle or enter the water when it’s so warm but this could prove fatal.

From the age of just 18 years old Kirsty Smith from the Ayrshire Roads Alliance has been blazing a trail for women wishing to pursue a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
