UK Minister visits CoRE climate change project
Tackling climate change, by creating a thriving low carbon economy for East Ayrshire and beyond, took a step closer to reality with the visit of Iain Stewart MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Scotland, to the site of *CoRE, (Community Renewable Energy) an exciting new project which will lead the way in transforming Cumnock and surrounding areas in years to come.
Coalfield Communities Landscape Partnership has been launched!
The Coalfield Communities Landscape Partnership (CCLP) with £2.2million support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and backed by East Ayrshire Council, are delivering 22 projects over the next four and half years. The focus of the partnership is to connect communities with the landscape and heritage of the former coalfield area bringing “Life to the Landscape”.
