The couple was presented with flowers on behalf of East Ayrshire Council. Deputy Lieutenant Eric Ross handed over a telegram from the King and Queen Consort.

Access restrictions planned as Palace Theatre works get underway
Works at the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock will shortly commence and a number of access changes will be put in place to accommodate these works.

We can advise that demolition of the property on King Street is now complete, with remedial clean-up works taking place this afternoon. The large demolition crane will move off site later today.
